LAS VEGAS (June 8, 2020) – With the flagship World Series of Poker (WSOP) postponed in Las Vegas due to the public health emergency involving COVID-19, today organizers announced “World Series of Poker Online,” an online poker festival spanning two months. Set to be one of the largest online tournament series of all time, “WSOP Online” will offer players massive prize pools, unprecedented media coverage for online events, and the chance to win gold bracelet glory across two distinct gaming platforms, WSOP.com and GGPoker.

Kicking off Wednesday, July 1, the “WSOP Online” tournament’s North American network will schedule one bracelet event a day, throughout the month of July.  WSOP.com allows play from customers geo-located in Nevada and New Jersey.

On Sunday, July 19, official “WSOP Online” bracelet tournaments will commence on the GGPoker Network, one of the biggest and fastest-growing online poker providers in the world. The international series will run through September 6 and mark the first time that players outside the U.S. have been able to compete for an official WSOP bracelet online.

GGPoker plans to unveil its bracelet schedule on a rolling basis and will have a broad range of buy-ins and game formats.  GGPoker boasts next-generation smart software and a multitude of innovative features, which will be on display during the online series.

WSOP.com will celebrate the tournament with a number of special promotions and incentives.  Satellites to WSOP Bracelet events start as low as $1. WSOP will also offer $100,000 of added prize money eligible to the top performers across all eligible online bracelet events in July. In addition to more planned July promotions players will also be offered multiple reload bonuses throughout the month of July.  For more details on North American events, and for the complete schedule, visit https://www.wsop.com/online-poker/

“It wouldn’t be Summer without WSOP” said Ty Stewart, Executive Director of the World Series of Poker. “While we are thrilled to be reopening our venues and optimistic about future offline events, we couldn’t be more excited about deepening our relationship with GGPoker and watching some history unfold online this summer.”

As is customary with WSOP events, the “WSOP Online” tournament will provide extensive media coverage.  Poker Central, World Series of Poker’s official production partner, plans to create significant original content around the festival utilizing its Las Vegas based studio including live streams, highlight packages, and pilot episodes earmarked for traditional television distribution. Poker Central will also schedule virtual “bracelet ceremonies” and interviews with each winner.

“With over $100M in guarantees during the WSOPC Super Series in May and more than $134M in awarded prizes, it’s clear that GGPoker and the WSOP make a good pair,” said Steve Preiss, Head of Poker Operations for GGPoker. “We’re excited to create bracelet events that the worldwide poker community will embrace, as well as innovative programming with PokerGo.”

GGPoker just wrapped up a highly successful WSOP Online Circuit Event, which saw a total series prize pool of $134,706, 274 easily smashing the advertised $100,000,000 in guarantees.  In total, the WSOP series saw a staggering 485,851 entries with highlights including a Main Event of nearly 10,000 entrants with $1.2M for the winner and a scorching $25k “high roller” with 505 entries creating GGPoker’s largest prize pool to date of $12.3M.  Like the record setting WSOP Online Circuit, GGPoker’s online bracelet event schedule will similarly have buy-in levels and formats that cater to a wide range of players.

“There’s nothing in the world like winning a WSOP bracelet,” said GGPoker ambassador, Daniel Negreanu. “Bringing this experience online will open the door for a new generation of poker players to feel the rush of competing for the game’s biggest prize.”

Consistent with GGPoker’s terms of service, play on the platform is prohibited from the United States.  Any player discovered to be attempting to play from inside the US border will be deemed ineligible and prize money subject to forfeiture.

The main goal of our events calendar is to get as many events as possible in one place to make it easier for fans. We started with pro wrestling events and now have all types of sporting and entertainment events. Including tv and movie events, such as upcoming guests on morning, daytime and late night television shows. You can find those on the calendar or in our news section. You can also simply search for any type of event with our search bar above. Most pro wrestling events and other live events have ticket links, venue information, dates and times. But some events have more, and some have a lot more and are basically event previews. It depends on the information available at the time we post the event and if we are able to update that event, etc. The other goal is keeping fans up to date on events in general, as best we can. Recently we’ve added event reminders for when certain shows will be airing. For example, if an event is taped, the reminder will be for when the event airs. Some days have one to three events and some have over twenty on the same day, so you may have to click the link at the bottom to see more events on a certain day. Also we recently made it possible for anyone to comment on these pages. * 2020 World Series Of Poker Online Announced Bracelet Schedule Posted DiscussPW *
