DraftKings tournament picks for this Sunday’s (October 18) 2020 NASCAR Cup Series event, the Hollywood Casino 400 at the Kansas Speedway
NASCAR Hollywood Casino 400 DFS DraftKings Picks
Kevin Harvick, (DK $10,400)
Harvick’s finished 11th, 20th and 10th over the last 3 weeks. But he won 3 of the previous 5 races he took part in before that. He placed 9th at last year’s Hollywood Casino 400 event and 4th at this year’s Super Start Batteries 400 at Kansas. I think due to recent history, he’ll be the least owned of the top guys (Elliott, Truex & Hamlin).
Brad Keselowski (DK $10,100)
Keselowski also hasn’t been very good lately so I don’t expect his ownership to be high at all. But he’s won twice at Kansas, including last years Digital Ally 400. He’s finished 6th or better in 3 of the last 4 here, with a 2nd place at this year’s Super Start Batteries 400.
Kyle Busch ($9,900)
Over the past 2 weeks, Busch has scored a combined negative -7 DK FPTS. Before that, he had 4 straight top 10’s. He also finished 3rd at this race last year. He’s starting in 20th, so he could pick up a lot differential points with a good day (he could easily have another awful day, but it’s gambling, you know). And again I’m not expecting high ownership.
Erik Jones ($8,400)
Jones has been on a fantastic run with 5 top 10’s in his last 6 overall races. Four of those were top 5 finishes. He also finished 7th in last year’s event and 5th here in July at the Super Start Batteries 400.
Arik Almirola ($8,000)
Almirola has had a great year, but his last 3 weeks haven’t been very good. He had 3 straight top 10 finishes before that, including a 5th. He also finished 6th here at the Super Start Batteries 400 and is starting in the 16th position this week.
NASCAR Hollywood Casino 400 DFS DraftKings Value Picks
Matt Kenseth ($6,600)
Kenseth looks like a good value pick at $6600, starting in 30th position. Before last week’s 34th place finish, he had 5 straight top 20’s with an average finish of 15.6.
Ryan Newman ($6,500)
Newman hasn’t been very good this year and had negative DK FPTS just last week. I doubt he’ll be highly owned and he’s starting in 28th position so I like the differential upside. Plus, I’ve simply always had good luck with Newman.
To be clear, these are DraftKings tournaments picks where I take a lot of risks. Most of these picks don’t apply to cash games.
