NFL DraftKings tournament picks for Monday nights (October 19, 2020) Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills game airing on FOX, NFL Network & Amazon Prime
Chiefs are -5 and the O/U is 57 points.
These are usually made early, so be sure to look at the latest injury reports. I lead off with a showdown pick, just ignore that if you don’t play in those. The player advice/info is still the same.
Kansas City Chiefs (4-1) at Buffalo Bills (4-1) NFL DraftKings Showdown Captain Pick
Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Chiefs (DK $8,400)
The Chiefs recently signed Le’Veon Bell, but he won’t play against the Bills. Bills Defense is pretty good against the run, but CEH is also targeted a lot in the pass game (maybe even more this week with Sammy Watkins out). Plus, I’m hoping he’s angry and looking to make a statement after the Bell signing. I’m expecting the Chiefs to be playing from ahead giving him more rush attempts and he’s already averaging 15 DK FPTS.
If I were making a safer captain pick, it would be Josh Allen.
Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills NFL DraftKings Flex Picks
Pat Mahomes, Chiefs QB (DK $13,000)
Mahomes has 13 TD’S and just 1 INT this year, and the Bills are 31st against opposing QB’s, so this is an easy one. I’m not using him at captain cause I think he’ll be incredibly highly owned and is really expensive.
Josh Allen, Bills QB ($11,200)
Allen is coming off his worst game this year against the Titans. But he still had 18 DK FPTS, so his floor is pretty high. Even after that game, he’s averaging 30 DK PTS. He could have another rough game vs the Chiefs, but it’s hard to pass on his upside. He’s got 14 passing TD’s with 3 INT’s (2 INT’s came last week) plus 3 rushing TD’s on the year.
Tyreek Hill, Chiefs WR ($10,000)
Hill or TE Travis Kelse is a tough call, both players are averaging exactly 18.7 DK FPTS. Kelce has more catches, Hill has more TD’s and Bills D isn’t good against TE’s or WR’s. I took Kelse last week and he had a monster game, so I’m hoping it’s Hill’s turn this week. He’s been incredibly consistent, but no huge games yet.
Mecole Hardman, Chiefs WR (DK $6,800)
Hardman has been playing pretty well with 2 TD’s over his last 3 games averaging around 50 rec yds per. This week WR Sammy Watkins is out and he could get more targets.
Cole Beasley, Bills WR ($6,200)
Beasley has been really solid this season, averaging 13 DK FPTS on 5 catches and over 60 rec yds a game. Chiefs Defense is good against the pass but I really like Beasley at this price, esp with Josh Brown out.
Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills NFL DraftKings Value Picks
Gabriel Davis, Bills WR ($4,800)
WR Josh Brown was out last week and Brown had one of his best games with 5 catches on 9 targets. Brown is questionable at the moment, so Davis could be in line for another good game at a solid price. I’m also expecting the Bills to be playing from behind and throwing a lot.
Harrison Butker, Chiefs K ($4,200)
He’s 8/9 this year on FG attempts with 2 over 50 yards, averaging 8 DK FPTS a game. I’m not sure I’ll be taking a kicker here but if I do, I like Butker. I think it’ll be high scoring and KC could possibly get held out of the end zone a few times leading to nice day for Butker.
Demarcus Robinson, Chiefs WR ($3,000)
He’s been inconsistent and hasn’t done much overall this season but Sammy Watkins is out so Robinson should get more playing time. I doubt many will own him so he’s worth a shot on if you’re low on funds.
Tyler Kroft, Bills TE ($2,800)
Kroft had one great game this season in week 3 vs the Rams he had 2 TD’s on 4 catches. This week starting Bills TE Dawson Knox is out tho, so Kroft could be pick up more targets and possibly have a good game. Also, the Chiefs Defense isn’t good against opposing TE’s.
Stefon Diggs is having a great season (averaging over 100 yds a game and 21 DK FPTS). KC is really good against opposing WR’s tho, so I’m going with the cheaper Bills receiving options. I didn’t mention Bills RB Devin Singletary, probably cause he burned me last week but I also expect the Bills to be playing from behind. KC’s rush defense isn’t great tho, so he could be a solid play.
