Saturday (December 18, 2021), Dateline NBC reports on investigators finding the killer 40 years after a Christmas time murder

Days before Christmas, a high school senior is found dead in her car after visiting the mall. It would take almost 40 years for investigators to identify her killer.

Dennis Murphy reports from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Featuring interviews with Detective Doug Larison, Detective Matt Denlinger, the victim’s friends and others.
