PGA DraftKings DFS Tournament picks for the 2021 PGA Championship, taking place May 20 to May 23rd at Kiawah Island
Welcome all, I’m back with more PGA DraftKings DFS Tournament picks. This time it’s for the 2021 PGA Championship being played at The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island. After picking the winner and runner-up two weeks ago at the Wells Fargo, I fell back to Earth with my Byron Nelson picks. You can check those out at the links if you’re interested.
Last year’s PGA Championship winner was Collin Morikawa, Brooks Koepka won back-to-back in 2018 and 2019. Justin Thomas won in 2017, Rory McIlroy won in both 2014 and 2012 (2012 was the last time the event was held at the Ocean Course).

2021 PGA Championship Top DraftKings Tournament Picks
Xander Schauffele (DK $9,900)
It’s really hard guessing ownership for a tourney this stacked, esp with the top players. I’m expecting Xander to be highly owned, but not as high as Rory, Thomas, Rahm, Spieth, Hovland and some others. I think Rory and Spieth will both have incredibly high ownership, but I could be totally wrong on all that (like a lot of things), we’ll see. Schauffele missed a cut a few tourneys back at The Players and only has one top 10 finish over his last five events. He’s still looking for his first win this season, but he’s got six top 10’s overall, including a 3rd place finish at The Masters.
Justin Rose ($8,100)
Rose has only made one of his last three cuts, but it was a 7th place finish at The Masters. That was only his second top 10 of the season and he’s priced around Im, Fleetwood and Oosthuizen on DK. So I don’t think his ownership will be high, and he finished T3 here in 2012 (the last time it was held on this course).
Marc Leishman ($7,600)
Leishman has also made just one of his last three cuts, he also recently finished 5th at The Masters and won the Zurich Classic along with Cameron Smith. He’s priced around Paul Casey, Joaquin Niemann, Gary Woodland, Valspar winner Sam Burns and others who I think could have higher ownership, but again that’s tough to predict. Marc finished T27 here in 2012.
Ian Poulter ($7,100)
Poulter missed his last cut at Wells Fargo, but he made four straight before that including a T21 place finish at Valspar. He also finished T3 here in 2012.
Out of the top names, I like Rory who’s coming off a win (he also dominated here in 2012) and will likely be very highly owned (I’m thinking maybe over 25% in large tourneys). Also, Viktor Hovland who’s had an incredible season and coming off back-to-back 3rd place finishes. For cheaper players, I like Cameron Tringale at $7,100, he’s picked up three top 15 finishes over his last four events. Charl Schwartzel is another at $6,900, he’s been playing very well recently. I think his ownership will be high tho coming off a T3 at Byron Nelson. The last cheap player I like should have low ownership, Alex Noren at $6,600. He’s finished top 25 in three straight events.
Forgetting DK money and gambling odds, my picks to straight up win are Rory and Xander.
