Eric Bischoff to AEW’s Tony Khan: “Shut Up and Wrestle”

Former Executive Producer and Senior VP of World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Eric Bischoff, sent a message on his podcast to Tony Khan: “Shut up and wrestle…”.

Khan, the CEO of All Elite Wrestling (AEW), has recently been doing a lot of talking about WWE. Even going so far to say on Twitter that “he can’t wait to finally beat your (Vince) main show head-to-head”.

AEW Rampage went head-to-head with WWE Smackdown on Friday, October 15, 2021. SD was airing on FS1, instead of the usual FOX Network. Early numbers had WWE easily beating AEW by 31% in ratings, according to Forbes. That was with TNT being available in a few million more homes than FS1.

Bischoff, who not only took on WWE’s main show head-to-head, but beat them for 83 weeks, thinks Tony should worry more about his own product.

I happen to agree and think Eric is a good example. As a younger fan, I hated when he came on screen talking about ratings. I didn’t follow that stuff or understand or care, like most casual fans I’m sure.

This is a bit different since Khan isn’t on screen but these days most everyone is on or aware of social media. And that’s all I got, check out Eric’s tweet-

Eric Bischoff to AEW’s Tony Khan: “Shut Up and Wrestle”. DiscussPW is a mix of Pro Wrestling and Entertainment. The site has some discussion rooms. But we strongly encourage comments on all posts. News and events are posted and updated daily. Pro wrestling is our main thing. But we also do a lot of entertainment. For example, we post movie trailers in our video section. Plus, tv previews and other kinds of entertainment news. We have an extensive events calendar. It was started in 2018 with pro wrestling events. Then we added sports and entertainment events. The goals were to help sell live tickets for diff events. Also, to help fans finds events and tickets easier. Then the virus happened and live events stopped for a while. So we had to change things up and added televised events. Some events have basic info, with times and dates. Others have a lot more and are basically previews. It depends on the info available at the time we post the event. And if we are able to update that event, etc. Certain days have one to three. While others have over twenty.
