The 44th president speaks to Scott Pelley in his first interview about his much-anticipated memoir in which he reflects on his historic tenure in the White House.
The former President will talk exclusively with CBS News in his first television interviews following the 2020 presidential election and before the release of his new memoir, A Promised Land.
Maria Gavrilovic is the producer. This is a double-length segment.
TIKTOK – Many of the 100 million American users of the wildly popular Chinese-owned app aren’t aware that the data it collects from them could be accessed by the country’s communist government.

CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King will interview Mr. Obama for CBS Sunday Morning and Scott Pelley will talk with the former president for 60 Minutes. Both interviews will be broadcast Sunday, November 15.
The interviews will be conducted in Washington, D.C. The interviews will be Mr. Obama’s first on-camera sit-down following the election of his former vice president and now President-elect Joe Biden.
The interviews also mark the launch of his new book, A Promised Land, which will be released Nov. 17 and feature his thoughts on his own political ascent and presidency.
