DiscussPW exclusive free DFS Starting Pitchers picks for MLB (Major League Baseball) games on Sunday, April 25, 2021
Welcome all, I hope you’re having a wonderful day or evening. I’m back doing more DFS starting pitchers picks, this time for the MLB games on April 25. I’ve been doing well with these SP picks so far, you can check out all of my columns/picks at this link. These are just some of my favorite picks overall, not based on DraftKings or Fanduel money. And I only take one top SP (if any) in each article, cause it’d be lame picking a bunch of the top players.
Enough BS, let’s do it!
Starting Pitchers for April 25
Dustin May, Dodgers
May has been solid thru three games with an ERA of 2.94 and 22 Ks w/ just 4 BBs in 15.1 IP. And in 30 career IP against SD, he has an ERA of 2.97.
Lucas Giolito, White Sox
Giolito was pitching well before getting destroyed by the Red Sox in his last start. He lasted 1 inning, giving up 7 ERs with 2 BBs & 0 Ks. He’s pitching at home here, in his one start at home this season, he went 7 scoreless vs CLE. He’s only pitched once against Texas in his career, but it was a win (6 IP w/ 1 ER).
*Update Giolito’s start was pushed back, so I’ll go with Madison Bumgarner instead. Bumgarner really struggled thru his first three starts, but pitched well last game. He’s 7-3 career against ATL with an ERA of 2.73 over 82 IP.
Lance McCullers, Astros
McCullers had a pretty good start to the season in back-to-back starts against Oakland, then he got hammered by the Tigers. He has 16 Ks in 13 IP but also 9 BBs. I don’t love this pick, but he does has an ERA of 3.21 in 70 career IP against the Angels.
Patrick Corbin, Nationals
Corbin gave up 15 ER in 6.1 IP over his first two starts. Then he came back and shut down STL over 6 IP w/ 5 Ks and his first game this year with 0 BB. I like his chances of keeping things rolling against the Mets offense, who are last in MLB in runs scored.
Disclaimer Thing- I’m no expert, I’m not even a writer. But I enjoy doing these and sometimes I get things right.
