DiscussPW exclusive free DFS Starting Pitchers picks for MLB (Major League Baseball) games on Tuesday, April 27, 2021
Welcome all, I’m right back at it with more Baseball DFS starting pitchers picks. This time for the MLB games on Tuesday, April 27. I’ve been doing well with these SP picks so far. You can check out all of my columns/picks at this link. These are just some of my favorite SP’s overall, not based on DraftKings or Fanduel money. But I only take one top SP (if any) in each column, cause it’d be lame picking a bunch of the top players.
If anyone ever has any questions or suggestions, you can leave a comment below. Or you can find me on Twitter at JaySox420. (I don’t use Twitter often, but I’ll always talk fantasy sports).
Enough BS, let’s do it!
MLB DFS Starting Pitchers
Kenta Maeda, Twins
Maeda got hammered last time out against Oakland, giving up 7 ER’s over 3 IP. But he was pitching ok before that, giving up 2 ER’s or less w/ over 5 K’s, in each of his first three starts. More importantly, he’s owned the Indians, going 3-0 w/ an ERA of 0.50 in 18 career IP against them. The Indians are currently near last in MLB in runs scored.
Lucas Giolito, White Sox
Giolito was pitching well before getting destroyed by the Red Sox in his last start. He lasted 1 inning, giving up 7 ERs with 2 BBs & 0 Ks. He’s pitching at home here, in his one start at home this season, he went 7 scoreless vs CLE. He’s 5-2 w/ an ERA of 4.24 in 51 career IP against Detroit.
I mistakenly had Giolito on yesterday’s column, but the White Sox were off. My bad, I’ll throw in an extra pick this time.
Cristian Javier, Astros
Javier has been awesome over his last two starts, 10 scoreless IP w/ 16 K’s & 3 BB’s. He’s pitched once before against Seattle, picking up a win over 7 scoreless IP.
Frankie Montas, Athletics
Montas has been incredibly inconsistent early on. He’s given up 1 ER or less in two of his four starts, and 6 runs or above in the other two. His ERA is 6.75 but he’s got 20 K’s with just 5 BB’s. He’s given up 0 ER’s in 9 career IP against Tampa Bay.
Chris Paddack, Padres
Paddack has gone 5 IP in each of his last two starts, giving up just 2 ER’s w/ 11 K’s & 3 BB’s. Not very exciting numbers but he’s working on extra rest and facing the Diamondbacks. They have a great offense but in 29 career IP against them, Paddack is 2-1 with an ERA of 1.59.
Note- The order of these picks is based on how much I like them.
Disclaimer Thing- I’m no expert, I’m not even a writer. But I enjoy doing these and sometimes I get things right.
