First Look At HBO Series “Winning Time: Rise of the Lakers Dynasty”

The new HBO drama “Winning Time: Rise of the Lakers Dynasty” is described as a fast-break series that chronicles the professional and personal lives of the 1980’s Los Angeles Lakers, one of sports most dominant dynasties. The series is based on Jeff Pearlman’s book “Showtime: Magic, Kareem, Riley, and the Los Angeles Lakers Dynasty of the 1980s.”

The Lakers series premieres in March 2022 with ten episodes. They will air live on HBO and be available to stream on HBO Max. Follow the new profiles on InstagramTwitter and Facebook for exclusive content.

The cast includes John C. Reilly, Quincy Isaiah, Jason Clarke, Adrien Brody, Gaby Hoffman, Tracy Letts, Jason Segel, Julianne Nicholson and more.

Jim Hecht and Max Borenstein are co-creators, Adam McKay is pilot director and Borenstein is the showrunner. Executive producers are McKay, Hecht, Borenstein, Jason Shuman, Scott Stephens, Rodney Barnes and Kevin Messick.
