Results and review from night one of FSW 11th & 12th Anniversary events on June 18, 2021, featuring a 30 Man Heavyweight Championship #1 Contenders Rumble Match & much more!
Night one of the FSW Anniversary shows also featured a huge main event between “Dashing” Chris Bey and “Truly Blessed” KC Navarro. Plus, former WWE/IMPACT and ROH Star, EC3 appeared and more. Check out my quick results & review below.
The events are taking place at Diversion Amusements in Vegas on June 18 & 19. D-Lo Brown was a special guest on commentary and the preshows for both nights are hosted by the Vegas Bad Boyz of Podcasting (I missed tonight‘s, hopefully I’ll catch it tomorrow). They always do a great job, so check it out.
Some tickets for the Saturday, June 19 event are still available at FSWVegas. If you missed night one, the replay is available on FITE TV. Night two will also stream on FITE.
Results & Review
- Scramble Match: Adrian Quest def Brandon Gatson, Midas Creed & Funnybone | Grade: B
This was my first time seeing these guys, other than Funnybone. Strong start to the show and awesome finisher by Quest.
- Grudge Match: Jai Vidal def Gregory Sharpe | Grade: A
Again my first time seeing either of these two. Great mix of brawling and wrestling with a quick post match beating, I really enjoyed this.
- 2 Out of 3 Falls FSW Tag Team Championship Match: DeathxProof (Cutthroat Cody & Jacob Austin Young) def R.M.B (Big Money Clutch & Suge) to become new tag champions | Grade: B
Once again my first time seeing either team, another good match and this show is rolling along.
- Nevada State Championship Match: Remy Marcel def Jimmy Jacobs vs | Grade: B–
Solid match, the crowd was really into it. First time seeing Remy, he was impressive with a cool look.
- FSW Women’s Championship Match: Mazzerati (c) def Sandra Monroe by DQ | Grade: A
This was great, the crowd was really behind Sandra. Mazzerati has the “IT Factor” IMO, she looks and carries herself like a star. It ended in a DQ, after it looked like Sandra had the match won.
- 30 Man Heavyweight Championship #1 Contenders Rumble Match (Winner faces Hammerstone on night two): EC3 & Juicy Finau def Jordan Cruz, Matt Vandagriff, Wise Guy, Chase Bell, Danny Limelight, Leon Hatred, Hero Leu, Tomaste, Action Braxton, Dave Mazany, Ricky Tenacious, Judah Matthews, Dmon, Lazarus, Marcus Anderson, Strella, Jordan Oasis, Frescomatic, Watson, Brett “The Threat”, Eric Watts, Da Shade, Toa Liona, Nino Black, Tito Escondido, Nic Zander, Adriel Noctis, Brandon Gee & D-Lo Brown | Grade: B+
Rumble’s are my favorite type of matches, along with ladders. This was a really fun one with some cool sequences, great surprise with EC3, D-Lo made me laugh and the ending was creative.
- Main Event: Chris Bey def KC Navarro | Grade: A
Fantastic match between two young stars to close the show. I just wish it had a few more minutes.
Ice Williams out with “Lights, Camera, Faction” to attack Bey and KC. Limelight and Sefa Fatu out stop them, then a nice speech from Fatu.
Overall Grade: 8.8
Night one was a hell of a start to FSW Anniversary weekend! Nothing but good matches with a few great ones, very cool surprise with EC3 not just appearing, but co-winning and now facing Hammerstone in a triple threat tomorrow.
Also, it was over 100° in Vegas, which must’ve been rough, so 👍👍 to everyone involved.
*Grades are more about overall enjoyment than match quality.
