On the latest episode of Cornette’s Drive-Thru, Jim Cornette spoke about the Matt Hardy/Jericho segment from last week’s AEW Dynamite and more.

You can listen to the full Jim Cornette’s Drive-Thru podcast below and highlights are from 411Mania.com

Cornette on AEW moving away from its promise to be centered around sports analytics

“Real sports analytics. So, next week, Matt Hardy is gonna have a graphic, ‘Matt has only teleported four times in the last week.’ That’s your real sports analytics. Take your real sports analytics, Tony, and shove ’em up your ass. I knew this was gonna happen. I knew it. I knew it. You’ve got a guy that has read newsletters for fucking 40 years and thinks he can do it.”

On how the Matt Hardy/Chris Jericho segment buried Tony Schiavone-

“Tony Schiavone had to sell it like he was seeing it in person. Not only that this is the most preposterous thing I’ve ever seen, that somebody is teleporting, and not only, it was done obviously with multiple exposures of the camera because at some point you could see Chris’ head suddenly tick a different place and then tick back again, and everyone knows how that’s done. But Tony Schiavone actually said, ‘Am I dreaming? Look what he’s done!’ Tony Schiavone had to call it like Matt Hardy was really disappearing and then appearing in different places simultaneously until he got all the way down to the ring. One of their announcers who is supposed to be their salesman.”

On how he had to turn off the show because he didn’t want to end up hating Jericho and Hardy-

“So they just buried their announcer, made their entire program look fucking like idiocy, and before anybody else opened their mouth from there, I turned the TV off while I still like Matt Hardy and Chris Jericho. I have given up on enough old friends for doing stupid, phony bullshit, I couldn’t, no, I could not watch the rest of this or I’ll hate both of them forever.”

The main goal of our events calendar is to get as many events as possible in one place to make it easier for fans. All events have ticket links, venue information, date and time. But some events have more, and some have a lot more and are basically event previews. It depends on the information available at the time we post the event and if we are able to update that event, etc. The other goal is keeping fans up to date on events in general, as best we can. We can’t possibly get EVERY event, but you’ll see we have more then most anyone else. Recently we’ve added Event Reminders for when certain shows will be airing. For example, if an event is taped, the reminder will be for when the event airs. We do our best to maintain around 200 upcoming pro wrestling events at all times. We started with US & Canadian professional wrestling promotions but have recently been adding more events from around the world. Including all different types of entertainment events. Some days have one to three events and some have over twenty on the same day, so you may have to click the link at the bottom to see more events on a certain day. Also we recently made it possible for anyone to comment on these event pages. If you’re a fan who went to or watched any of these events, feel free to leave a comment below. * Jim Cornette On AEW, Hardy/Jericho, Tony Khan & More DiscussPW Pro Wrestling News *
