DFS Draftkings value picks for opening night of the NBA taking place December 22 featuring the Golden State Warriors at the New Jersey Nets and the Los Angeles Clippers at Los Angeles Lakers
NBA DFS is back! Unless you were playing preseason NBA DFS, then it’s back for real now! The 2020-2021 NBA (National Basketball Association) regular season begins tonight with two games on TNT. The Warriors vs Nets at 7PM ET followed by the Lakers vs Clippers at 10PM ET.
Normally I don’t play the opening week or two, I like to see who’s getting minutes and whatever else. But I got a free ticket for a big DK tourney tonight, so here we are. I don’t have much time today so I’ll just be naming some value picks for both games. In the future, I’ll likely be doing NBA showdown picks but we’ll see.
Latest lines have the Nets -7, Over/Under is 231 points and the Lakers -3, Over/Under is 220.
NBA DFS Golden State Warriors at Brooklyn Nets DraftKings Value Picks
Joe Harris, Nets SG/SF (DK $4,800)
Harris is a career 43% shooter from 3 point range, and should see more open looks now with Kevin Durant & Kyrie Irving around and healthy.
Taurean Prince, Nets PF ($3,900)
Prince will likely be the 6th man and should see a nice amount of playing time. Last year he averaged 12 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and one steal in 29 mins.
Eric Paschall, Warriors PF ($3,800)
There’s a chance Paschall gets the start tonight with Draymond Green out. I’d like him a lot more if that’s the case, but he should get more minutes than he normally would either way.
Los Angeles Clippers at Los Angeles Lakers DraftKings Value Picks
Nicolas Batum, Clippers SF/PF (DK $4,100)
Batum and Luke Kennard are two options to start for Marcus Morris tonight. Either way, both should see more playing time than normal. I like Batum more in cash games.
Luke Kennard, Clippers SG/SF ($3,600)
Kennard played well in the preseason and should pick up more minutes tonight with starter Marcus Morris out. I like him in tourneys, expecting low ownership.
Talen Horton–Tucker, Lakers SG/SF ($3,500)
Horton-Tucker had an incredible preseason and could be highly owned here at that price. But now it’s the regular season and who knows, so I like him more in cash games.
