DFS DraftKings showdown picks for the NFL 2021 Super Bowl game on February 7 between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs
Welcome or welcome back, it’s time for NFL DFS 2021 Super Bowl DraftKings showdown picks. The Buccaneers take on the Chiefs this Sunday, February 7 at 6:30PM ET on CBS. Check out the line below and on to the picks.
Latest line has the Chiefs -3, Over/Under is 56.5 points. If I were a betting man, I’d take the Chiefs and the under.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Kansas City Chiefs NFL DFS 2021 Super Bowl DraftKings Showdown Captain Pick
Travis Kelce, Chiefs TE (DK $11,000)
Kelce had an amazing season and has taken it to another level in these playoffs, averaging 34 DK FPPG. The Bucs Defense held him below 20 DK FPTS in week 12, which didn’t happen often this season, but they were torched by Tyreek Hill. I think they’ll focus more on not getting humiliated by Hill again, leaving Kelce to have another big game.
TB Buccaneers vs KC Chiefs NFL DFS DraftKings Showdown Flex Picks
Tyreek Hill, Chiefs WR (DK $10,400)
Hll has 17 catches on 21 targets for 282 yards over his last two games. Now I just said I think they’ll focus on him more but that doesn’t mean they’ll stop him, or come close. I think he still goes for around 100 yards and a TD.
Chris Godwin, Buccaneers WR ($8,400)
Godwin has at least 4 catches in each of his last 6 games, with 5 TD’s and 2 games over 100 receiving yards. He had 8 catches for 97 yards against this Chiefs Defense in week 12. Also, I like WR Antonio Brown as a tourney pick if he plays.
Leonard Fournette, Buccaneers RB ($7,800)
Fournette is averaging 21 DK FPPG during these playoffs with a TD in each game. I mentioned last week that I loved his pass catching ability to fall back on in case Ronald Jones II picks up more carries, and that’s still true. I do like Jones as a tourney play due to how cheap ($2,200) he’s become on DK and likely very low ownership. Jones had 17 DK FPTS on just 9 carries (and 1 catch) against this defense in week 12.
Cameron Brate, Buccaneers TE ($4,800)
Brate has had at least 9 DK FPTS in each of the 3 playoff games this year. He’s been targeted 16x in those games, compared to 7x for fellow TE Rob Gronkowski. Gronk is down to 3K on DK tho and still seeing red zone targets. So I’d take a shot on Gronk in a tourney for the same reasons as Jones. Both Bucs TE’s combined for 10 catches when they played in week 12 and Gronk had over 100 yards.
Notes & Poll
Patrick Mahomes tore this defense apart in week 12 with 462 yards, 4 TD’s & 0 INT’s. It would’ve been around 550 yards if Mecole Hardman didn’t drop a 90 yard TD pass. While Tom Brady had 345 yards, 3 TD’s & 2 INT’s. For tourneys, I like Brady a bit more, he’s 2K cheaper and will be lesser owned. I’m not looking to start a kicker, but I’m fine with either if the money works out that way. And I’d take a shot in a tourney with the KC Defense.
That’s it for now, best of luck out there and see you on the next edition of…
