NFL DraftKings showdown tournament picks for the Kansas City Chiefs (9-1) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-4) Week 12 game on Sunday, November 29
So I’m feeling pretty good after nailing my Thanksgiving captain’s pick. Wash RB Antonio Gibson scored a crazy 39.6 DK FPTS. Lets see if I can do that again here. This time it’s NFL DFS DraftKings showdown tournament picks for the Kansas City Chiefs (9-1) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-4) game on November 29, 2020, airing at 4:25 PM ET on CBS.
Latest line has the Chiefs -3.5, Over/Under is 56 points. If I were a betting man, I’d take Chiefs and the over.
Kansas City Chiefs (9-1) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-4) NFL DraftKings Showdown Tournament Captain Pick
Ronald Jones II, Bucs RB (DK $6,600)
Jones is coming off his worst game of the year against the Rams with just 2.4 DK FPTS. He’s now scored below 10 DK FPTS in 3 out of his last 4 games and his price dropped down to $6,600 this week on DK. But he’s recently faced some top rush defenses (Rams, Saints, Giants). And this week he takes on the Chiefs Defense, 6th worst in the NFL, giving up 133.5 yards a game on the ground.
Some other options I like at captain are Antonio Brown and Sammy Watkins (if he plays).
Kansas City Chiefs (9-1) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-4) NFL DraftKings Showdown Tournament Flex Picks
Tom Brady, Bucs QB (DK $10,400)
Brady scored over 20 DK FPTS in 3 of his first 4 games this year, but only twice since then (in 7 games). Now he’s facing the Chiefs Defense, 6th best in the NFL against the pass, giving up 221 yards per game. So I don’t love Brady here, but he’s almost 2K cheaper than Patrick Mahomes. I’m expecting Mahomes to be very highly owned, so I’ll take a shot with Brady.
Tyreek Hill, Chiefs WR ($10,000) or Travis Kelce Chiefs TE ($9,800)
Hill is now averaging 20.8 DK FPPG and Kelce 20.9. Both have been absolutely incredible lately, and are basically the same price here. Last week, I said pretty much the same thing about these two and ended up starting both, which paid off very nicely.
Antonio Brown, Bucs WR ($7,000)
I’m expecting WR’s Mike Evans and Chris Godwin to have higher ownership. So I’ll go with Brown, whose targets and catches have increased each week. I figure he’s also due for his first TD this year.
Sammy Watkins, Chiefs WR ($6,200)
Watkins is questionable but seems on track to return this week. He’s averaging over 10 DK FPPG this year and I don’t expect his ownership to be high in his first game back. If Watkins is out again, I’d consider Mecole Hardman or Demarcus Robinson.
Rob Gronkowski, Bucs TE ($5,200)
Gronk has struggled since Brown joined the team, with only 1 TD over his last 3. He was rolling before that, 3 straight games with a TD. But he’s still been getting a decent amount of targets, and his ownership shouldn’t be very high. So I might give him another shot here.
Kansas City Chiefs (9-1) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-4) NFL DraftKings ST Value Picks
Le’Veon Bell Chiefs RB ($3,400)
The Tampa Bay Defense is #1 in the NFL against the rush, so I def don’t like Edwards-Helaire at $8,800. I don’t like Bell much either, but he’s cheap and maybe now will start a TD streak after finding the end zone last game.
Cameron Brate, Bucs TE ($2,600)
Brate has had 3 catches in each of his last two games, with 1 TD. This could be a high scoring game with a lot of passing and he’s pretty cheap.
