NFL DraftKings showdown tournament picks for the Baltimore Ravens (6-2) at New England Patriots (3-5) game on Sunday, November 15, 2020
Welcome all, I’m back again with more NFL DFS DraftKings showdown tournament picks. This time for the November 15th, Baltimore Ravens at New England Patriots week 10 game, airing at 8:20PM ET on NBC.
Latest line has the Ravens -7, Over/Under is 43.5 points.
These picks are made ahead of time, so be sure to check the latest injury reports. For anyone new to these, I make a lot of risky picks. And just to be clear, these are for large DraftKings showdown tournaments, not cash games.
Baltimore Ravens (6-2) at New England Patriots (3-5) NFL DraftKings Showdown Tournament Captain Pick
Cam Newton, Patriots QB (DK $10,800)
Newton and the Pats barely beat the winless Jets last week. Now they face the #1 Ravens Defense giving up under 18 PPG. Cam hasn’t thrown for a TD since week 3, but he’s rushed for 3 TD’s over the last 2 games while averaging 22 DK FPPG. Pats WR Isaiah Ford will debut and N’Keal Harry is expected to return. Plus, top Bal CB Stephon Gilmore is unlikely to play, which should all help Cam.
Baltimore Ravens at New England Patriots DraftKings Flex Picks
Lamar Jackson, Ravens QB (DK $12,400)
Jackson rushed for 58 yards with a TD last week against the Colts rush defense, one of the best in the NFL. This week he faces a Patriots Defense giving up 131 yds per game on the ground. He’s thrown for over 200 yards just once since week 2 and the Pats are very good against the pass. He’s also expensive and will likely be very highly owned, so I don’t love this pick. I won’t go crazy trying to roster him, but I’ll take him if I can afford him.
Marquise Brown, Ravens WR ($10,000)
This is a mostly a contrarian play. Brown is averaging just 52 receiving yards a game, 11 DK FPPG and only has 2 TD’s all season. He’s been held under 10 DK FPTS in each of his last 3 games. And he’s priced at 10k here, the highest he’s been all year. I’m guessing all that will lead to his ownership being low, maybe very low due to the similarly priced Pats WR Jakobi Meyers (my captain last week), so I might take a shot on Brown.
Damiere Byrd, Patriots WR ($4,400)
Meyers, who I just mentioned, went off last week and I think he’ll be very highly owned here, so I’m gonna dodge that. I also talked about Byrd last game and like him again here. His catches and targets have gone up in each of the last 3. That could change with the debut of Isaiah Ford and possible return of N’Keal Harry, but I think he’ll have a solid game at least.
Baltimore Ravens at New England Patriots DraftKings Value Picks
Justin Tucker, Ravens K ($3,800)
He’s only kicked 2 FG’s over the last 2 weeks, but he’s still averaging over 10 DK FPPG. He’s 15 of 16 on FG’s this year with two over 50. I like his chances for a few FG’s here against a pretty good defense.
Gus Edwards, Ravens RB ($2,400)
Edwards has been averaging 13 carries a game and 11 DK FPPG over his last 3. Mark Ingram II is still questionable. But even if he plays, I still like Edwards at just $2,400. That’s way down from last week’s $6,600 and he’s facing a much worse rush defense.
Isaiah Ford, Pats WR ($1,000)
Ford hasn’t done much this season, he did have a nice game back in week 2 with 14.5 DK FPTS. Now he’s on a new team and his QB Cam Newton already gave him a nickname “30 for 30”, so that’s something. He’s only 1k, maybe worth a shot.
Ryan Izzo, Pats TE ($800)
Izzo is questionable but was questionable last week with the same hamstring and played almost every snap, with 2 catches on 3 targets. Pats recently placed TE’s Dalton Keene and Devin Asiasi on IR and signed TE Jordan Thomas. Izzo should see a a lot of playing time again and hopefully more catches and targets.
Notes and stuff
Pats RB Damien Harris is questionable after leaving last week’s game with a chest injury. It sounds like he’s going to play tho, and RB Sony Michel could return this week. Plus, there’s RB’s Rex Burkhead and James White. The Ravens Defense is #8 against the run, giving up just 101 yards per. So I’m probably avoiding Pats RB’s this week. And I like the Ravens Defense, but I think they could be very highly owned.
