Lionsgate Movies released the first teaser trailer today for their upcoming comedy “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent”. The film stars Nicolas Cage playing himself, accepting a $1 million offer to attend the birthday of a Mexican billionaire super fan, but things take a wild turn! Cage is forced to become versions of his iconic characters to free his wife and daughter from a drug lord.
So we’re going to see Nic Cage playing Nic Cage, while playing some of his old characters?!. This sounds ridiculously amazing and I can’t wait. But I’m going to have to because it doesn’t hit theaters until April 22, 2022.
The Lionsgate film also stars Pedro Pascal, Sharon Horgan, Ike Barinholtz, Alessandra Mastronardi, Jacob Scipio, Lily Sheen, with Neil Patrick Harris, and Tiffany Haddish. Tom Gormican is the director and co-writer, along with co-writer Kevin Etten.
