PGA DFS Draftkings Tournament picks for the 2021 Sony Open in Hawaii taking place January 14th thru 17th at the Waiʻalae Country Club in Hawaii
Welcome all, I’m back again and this time it’s DFS DraftKings picks for the 2021 PGA Sony Open. For anyone new, I basically just go by recent play and course history, as you’ll see. If you’re looking for details, stats and all that, I’d suggest PGA Tour Fantasy, they’re pretty great. Ok, let’s get to it!
Last year’s Sony Open winner was Cameron Smith, Matt Kuchar won in 2019 and Patton Kizzire won in 2018.
PGA DFS 2021 Sony Open in Hawaii DraftKings Top Picks
Webb Simpson (DK $11,100)
Simpson finished 17th at Sentry after recovering from COVID-19. He’s been awesome here with 6 straight top 20 finishes including a 3rd place last year and T4 in 2018.
Kevin Kisner ($8,800)
Kisner finished 24th at Sentry and had a 2nd place finish at the RSM Classic before that. He’s been great at this event with 3 top 5 finishes over the last 5 years.
Charles Howell III ($8,000)
Howell didn’t play in the Sentry Tournament, his last finish was 23rd at Mayakoba. That was his only top 25 finish over his last 6 events. But he’s also been great here, he’s finished T13 or better in each of the last 5 trips.
2021 Sony Open in Hawaii DraftKings Value Picks
Chez Reavie ($7,400)
Reavie didn’t play at Sentry and missed his last two cuts after a 29th place finish at the Masters. So I’m expecting his ownership to be pretty low. He missed the cut here last year, but finished T3 in 2019, T18 in 2018 and T8 in 2017.
Peter Malnati ($6,900)
In October, Malnati finished 2nd at the Sanderson Farm Championship, 5th at Shriners and 21st at Bermuda. Then he finished the year with a 48th at the RSM and missed the cut at Mayakoba, his last event. He’s another I expect won’t be highly owned, and he finished T12 here last year.
That’s it for now, good luck out there and see on the next edition of…
