Quick results and review from the NWA (National Wrestling Alliance) “When Our Shadows Fall” return to PPV on Sunday, June 6, from Georgia Public Broadcasting Studio in Atlanta, GA

NWA “When Our Shadows Fall” streamed June 5th on FITE TV at 4PM ET. Check out my results/review below, you can also find ticket info on the Powerr tapings at the link.

This event featured NWA Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis defending against Trevor Murdoch, NWA Women’s Champion Serena Deeb defending against Kamille. A Four-Way Lucha Rules Tag Match, the NWA debut of Kylie Rae and more!

There were pre-show matches scheduled, but the YouTube stream never came on. I’m not sure if that was on the NWA or FITE, either way, it sucked. Myself and a lot fans were waiting and waiting…for nothing.

The main show started on time and that venue always looks great. As does Velvet Sky, who was debuting on PPV commentary, with Joe Galli, one of my favorites Tim Storm.

Results & Review

  • Four-Way Tag Team Lucha Libra Rules Match: MechaWolf & Bestia 666 def The End (Odinson & Parrow), Marshe Rockett & Slice Boogie and Sam Rudo & Sal Rinauro | Grade: B+
  • Non-Title Grude Match: Tyrus (w/ Austin Idol) def TV Champion The Pope | Grade: C-
  • Tag Team Match: Kylie Rae & Taryn Terrell def Thunder Rosa & Melina | Grade: B
  • Singles Match: JTG def Fred Rosser | Grade: C
  • Tag Team Championship Match: Aron Stevens & JR Kratos (c) def Chris Adonis & Thom Latimer and the War Kings (Crimson & Jax Dane) | Grade: C+
  • NWA World Women’s Championship Match: Kamille def Serena Deeb to become new Champion | Grade: B+
  • NWA World Heavyweight Championship Match: Nick Aldis (c) def Trevor Murdoch | Grade: B-

Overall Grade: 5.8

This felt like more like a long episode of Powerrr, than a PPV. The opener was a lot of fun, then Pope did his part but Tyrus was simply not good at all. And him winning was questionable for all kinds of reasons.

I’d just recommend the opener and the Women’s World title match. The main event started ok, but the end was a mess. Also, nice job by the commentary team, Tim Storm is fantastic.

*Grades are more about overall enjoyment than match quality.

Review & Results from NWA: “When Our Shadows Fall” on June 6 2021. DiscussPW Pro Wrestling & Entertainment. * There have been major changes to our events calendar due to the coronavirus pandemic. We started this calendar in 2018 with pro wrestling events. Then added some other live sports and entertainment events. The goals were to help sell live tickets for all kinds of events. Also, to help fans finds events and tickets easier. Then the virus happened and live events stopped for a while. So we had to change things up. We’ve since added and will continue to add, many televised events. And now that live events have returned, we’re also back to adding them. So the calendar will be a bit of a mess, with tv shows, trailers, live events, etc. Most live events have ticket links, venue information, dates and times. But some events have more. Some have a lot more and are basically event previews. It depends on the information available at the time we post the event. And if we are able to update that event, etc. Some days have one to three events and some have over twenty on the same day. So you may have to click the link at the bottom to see more on certain days. If this is your event, feel free to contact us above for any changes.
