DraftKings DFS showdown tournament picks for Monday’s (June 28, 2021) NBA Western Conference Finals playoffs game 5, between the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers
Welcome or welcome back basketball fans, gamblers, and anyone else. I finally nailed a captain pick last time out with Middleton, so I’m feeling good. So I’m right back at it with NBA DraftKings showdown tourney picks for game 5 of the Suns vs Clippers conference finals playoffs on Monday, June 28th. The Suns currently lead the series 3-1, this game airs on ESPN at 9PM ET.
Suns at Clippers DraftKings Showdown Tournament Captain Pick(s)
Deandre Ayton, Suns C (DK $9,200)
Ayton is coming off a monster double-double (19 & 22 w/ 4 blocks) last game, scoring 61 DK FPTS. He also had 48 FPTS he had in game two. If Booker continues to struggle, they could go to the big man more on offense.
I also like Devin Booker, he’s been really struggling and is still very expensive. He’s scored just 29 DK FPTS in three straight games after dropping a 77 bomb in game 1. His ownership was even lower than I expected last game. So it could be very low this game (for a showdown) and he’s got that crazy upside.
Paul George will be incredibly highly owned at captain and rightfully so. I’m expecting his ownership to be around 20-25% there in large tourneys (this week I’m playing one with 50K and another with 70K). Also, Chris Paul is coming off a down game, but he’s been incredibly consistent in the playoffs. He should bounce back here.
Terance Mann, Clippers SG/SF ($5,800)
Mann has played at least 32 minutes in each of the last two games. He’s averaging a decent 21.7 FPTS over that time. More importantly, he’s shown the ability go off when he gets enough playing time. He scored 50.5 FPTS last week vs Utah.
Patrick Beverley, Clippers PG ($3,200)
Beverley played 34 mins in game 4, he didn’t do much in terms of fantasy, but normally he’s better. He’s getting good minutes and scored a solid 22 FPTS in game 3. He also had 32.5 FPT in the deciding game against Utah.
