Terror gripped the rural town of Moscow, Idaho, in November when authorities discovered four University of Idaho students stabbed to death in an off-campus house: Ethan Chapin, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Kaylee Goncalves. As police worked to identify a suspect and piece together answers to the perplexing crime, the case quickly made national headlines. Only a few weeks ago, authorities arrested Bryan Kohberger, a 28-year-old Ph.D. student at Washington State University, as the main suspect and charged him with four counts of first-degree murder and felony burglary. Despite the fact that Kohberger has yet to enter a formal plea, his public defender stated that he is “desperate to be exonerated.”
