ABC 20/20 Tonight, Friday (September 30, 2022) Goes Inside the Investigation With Detectives Who Cracked the Case of Sherri Papini

This episode of “ABC 20/20” airs tonight September 30 at 9PM ET. On the heels of Sherri Papini pleading guilty and receiving an 18-month prison sentence for her fabricated kidnapping tale to federal agents and mail fraud, “20/20” features interviews with the investigators who cracked the case. Five years after her disappearance, authorities arrested the mother of two from Northern California for lying to them about two Hispanic women abducting and physically abusing her after going out for a jog in the middle of the day. You can watch next day on Hulu. Also, check out the official podcast at ABCAudio.

This two-hour special includes just released evidence from the investigation, including videotaped police interviews with Sherri and her husband Keith, who has since filed for divorce; photos of Sherri’s various injuries, which she described to detectives as having been inflicted by her abductors, including the brand on her back; and police interview with James Reyes, the ex-boyfriend Papini was actually staying with when she said she was being held captive, who was unaware of her plan and believed he was giving a friend a place to stay. In addition, the report includes interviews with former Shasta County Sheriff Tom Bosenko, former Redding, California, Mayor Missy McArthur, Northern Hispanic Latino Coalition co-founder Alan Ernesto Phillips and more.

For over four decades, “20/20” has offered viewers reports and stories that have changed lives.

DiscussPW is a mix of Pro Wrestling and Entertainment. The site was started in 2016 and has gone through many changes over the years. Our main focus was events and tickets, but then the pandemic happened. We had to mix things up and will now be doing a lot more news. Events will still be covered, just as news instead of on a calendar. This site had an extensive events calendar, which we have moved away from. Pro wrestling has always been our main thing, we also do a lot of entertainment though. For example, we post movie trailers, tv previews and other kinds of news. We have a few discussions but strongly encourage comments on all of our posts. Be sure to keep things civil while commenting. If you have any questions or concerns, contact us above.
