Schanda Handley was taken from her home at gunpoint by two people posing as deliverymen. It was a brazen kidnapping in the normally quiet suburban town of Lafayette, La. And it was not a random attack; it was a cold and calculated plan to target Handley. But who was behind it? And how were police able to piece it all together? CBS News lead national correspondent, 48 HOURS contributor and Lafayette native David Begnaud has the story of what happened in “The Kidnapping of Schanda Handley.”

“CBS 48 Hours” “The Disappearance of Kristin Smart.”

At 9:00 PM, 48 HOURS and Jonathan Vigliotti report on the latest news on Kristin Smart, who vanished in 1996, and the trial of her accused killer, in “The Disappearance of Kristin Smart.” Smart was a college freshman at California Polytechnic State University when she vanished after attending a nearby party. What happened to her was a mystery for more than two decades until Paul Flores was charged with her murder. He was convicted this week.

“There is good and there is evil and that night … evil came to play,” Lillard tells Vigliotti in an exclusive interview.

Lillard told investigators he had nothing to do with Shockley’s death and a jury acquitted him. Her family doesn’t believe him. So, what happened that night?

“The very first thought was, he had to have had something to do with this … Why would he kill himself?” Lillard says of Heindel. “There’s something he’s hiding.”

DiscussPW is a mix of Pro Wrestling and Entertainment. The site was started in 2016 and has gone through many changes over the years. Our main focus was events and tickets, but then the pandemic happened. We had to mix things up and will now be doing a lot more news. Events will still be covered, just as news instead of on a calendar. This site had an extensive events calendar, which we have moved away from. Pro wrestling has always been our main thing, we also do a lot of entertainment though. For example, we post movie trailers, tv previews and other kinds of news. We have a few discussions but strongly encourage comments on alqql of our posts. Be sure to keep things civil while commenting. If you have any questions or concerns, contact us above.
