Why End The Reign?

Hey everyone! It’s ”The Wrestling Takeover” Jordan here with another opinion article titled “Why End Th Reign?” for DiscussPW.com. Roman Reigns has been on a remarkable run as Undisputed/Universal Champion. He first won The Universal Championship at (WWE Payback), and he won The WWE Championship at WrestleMania 38 against Brock Lesnar. He’s been holding both championships ever since, and fans within the community say ”Cody Rhodes is the right choice to defeat Roman Reigns”. I understand that everything I will be saying below might not happen and that the WWE creative and management team has decided to go with Cody Rhodes to defeat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. I will be making a case for Roman Reigns to retain at WrestleMania, knowing that it’s likely that he won’t!

Let me know what you think; I hope you all appreciate this article and the previous ones I’ve written.

CODY RHODES TO DETHRONE ROMAN REIGNS?

For the most part, many fans want someone to dethrone Roman Reigns. It hasn’t happened yet, but many fans think WrestleMania 39 in Sofi Stadium should be where he drops both championships. Cody Rhodes has returned to WWE, and he’s returned to win a championship that his father never could. In many people’s eyes, Cody Rhodes should be presented as ”the guy” once Roman Reigns loses and is gone for months following WrestleMania. Are we in-store for a new champion following night two? WWE has been waiting for the right guy to come around to defeat Roman Reigns and end his reign. Have they waited this long to give the win to Cody Rhodes? It’s possible, and I wouldn’t be upset if it happened. Is Cody Rhodes the right choice, though? I believe he is because he can fit right into that top guy role when Roman Reigns is gone. The WWE has done a good job presenting Cody Rhodes, but a little problem will bring me to my next paragraph.

ROMAN REIGNS SHOULD NOT LOSE.

I know what everybody who’s reading this is thinking. Wait what??? Yes. You heard me. Roman Reigns shouldn’t lose at WrestleMania night two. He’s been on a dominant run and a run that we will never forget in our lifetime. Roman Reigns has been champion since 2020, and he’s been on a God-like level. He is the Micheal Jordan in this current regime in modern WWE. Why end it now? I feel like people’s perspective is winded because fans are tired of Roman Reigns’s dominance, and I understand. But then again, I feel like people who say that don’t like seeing someone dominant so strong, like Roman Reigns, ever since 2020. People must understand that you can still do things with Roman Reigns as champion; remember; the story has always been The Universal Championship, not The WWE Championship. Rivalries with Solo Sikoa, Gunther, Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt, LA Knight, etc. Cody Rhodes has mentioned his father a lot during this rivalry, and I get it. The story is Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, not Dusty Rhodes and Roman Reigns. I don’t mind Cody Rhodes, Paul Heyman, and Roman Reigns bringing up Dusty Rhodes, but not every week. I wanna know why Cody Rhodes feels he has the tools to take down Roman Reigns. Roman Reigns, I wanna see the reign continue… He can drop The WWE Championship after WrestleMania 39 in The Draft and focus on The Universal Championship like he should’ve done since day one. People want Cody Rhodes, and I’m fine with that; there are just more things you can see with Roman Reigns as champion.

The WWE royally screwed over when they gave Roman Reigns The WWE Championship at last year’s WrestleMania. I cannot see Paul Levesque (Triple H) and the creative team pulling the trigger on a Roman Reigns loss at WrestleMania. But we will see because WrestleMania is where stories end and new ones begin. There’s more you can do with Roman Reigns and The Bloodline storyline.

Thanks for reading. Blessings to you all. Duces!
